Ocean Optics Red Tide
The Ocean Optics Red Tide Spectrometer is a preconfigured, off-the-shelf spectrometer where all of the optical bench options such as grating, and entrance slit size are already selected. The Red Tide can be used with various Ocean Optics spectrometer accessories, light sources and sampling optics to create application-specific systems for various absorbance, reflection and emission applications.
Red Tide has has a wavelength range of 350–1000 nm and uses a detector with 650 active pixels; that’s 650 data points in one full spectrum, or one data point per nanometer. Which means it has higher resolution and more robust features compared to the Amadeus Spectrometer which is why it is the higher priced of the two. However, it is still significantly less expensive than most other spectrometry solutions available to schools and research labs while also having an amazingly small footprint.
Note: This spectrometer system can be used directly with the SPARK Science Learning System or with a computer (Mac or PC) running SPARKvue software. However, for PASCO customers with XPlorer GLXs, a license key is required.
A complete system for measuring absorbance, emission and fluorescence in your classroom or laboratory.
