PASCO Announces the 2014 STEM Educator Award Winners

In partnership with the National Science Teachers Association, PASCO scientific is proud to announce their 2014 STEM Educator Award winners. This year’s winners are: Jeffery Grant from Downers Grove North High School in Downers Grove, IL; Daniel Sweet from John Jay Science & Engineering Academy in San Antonio, TX; Kenneth Huff from Mill Middle School in Williamsville, NY; Benjamin McCombs from Van Buren Middle School in Kettering, OH; and Terence McMahon from Meadow Park Elementary School in West Palm Beach, FL.

The winners will receive a $1,000 cash award; a certificate for $2,000 in PASCO products to further support their STEM program; a complimentary one-year membership to NSTA; and up to $1,500 for travel expenses to attend this year’s NSTA National Conference in Boston, where they will participate in a STEM “share-a-thon” workshop and be recognized at the NSTA Teacher Awards Gala.

Dr. Dori L. Haggerty, PASCO’s National K-12 Education Manager, said, “PASCO is particularly impressed with the dedication for their students and classroom innovation that has been displayed by all five winners. We at PASCO feel they deserve this recognition.”

PASCO teams with EarthEcho International.

EarthEcho International is a non-profit organization which strives to empower today's youth to be active  stewards for our our water planet.  By focusing on service learning they encourage students to take an active role at identifying and solving environmental issues in their community.  PASCO is proud to see our sensors, interfaces and software being used by the EarthEcho teams for real time data collection and analysis.
