PASCO’s Advanced Biology Through Inquiry Curriculum is designed around two key pieces – the Guides, which contain all 22 exciting experiments, and the Student Bundles, with all the probeware needed to complete each activity in the guide.

The Advanced Biology Guides have 3 formats:
An Instructor Lab Manual, editable Word files for student versions, and a flash drive with all the information in a electronic format.
Flash drive only version of the teacher guide, which eliminates a paper copy. Contains both the editable student versions and PDF's of both student and teacher versions.
Student Handouts, as binder of ready-to-copy student versions for each lab.

The Sensor Bundle is PASCO's all-in-one set of probeware specifically grouped for these lab activities. One bundle per lab group is the recommendation.

This printed binder contains 22 ready-to-copy versions of only the students labs.

Contains an EcoChamber, a Metabolism Chamber and all the probeware needed to perform the activities in the Advanced Biology through Inquiry lab manual.

To perform Lab 6B in the Advanced Biology Teacher Guide, you will need DNA. Order one Mitochondrial Genetics Kit per lab station.

3. Collect Data

Three options to choose from. Make use of existing classroom computers (Mac or PC), utilize tablets (iPads or Android based) or choose our standalone SPARK Science Learning System Handheld.

Option 1. For Macs and PCs- Install SPARKvue software and then connect your sensors to your own computers with a SPARKlink interface. Also works great on interactive whiteboards and LCD projectors. Order one SPARKlink per lab station, and one SPARKvue Site License for your K12 campus.

SPARKvue software combines multimedia curriculum, real-time data collection, and powerful scientific analysis tools in an easy-to-use, icon-based user interface.

SPARKlink (PS-2009)

SPARKlink is a sensor interface with two ports to accept PASPORT sensors and USB connection to a computer running SPARKvue software. Built in temperature and voltage sensors allow for measurements right out of the box.

Option 2. iPads or Android Tablets Dowload the SPARKvue HD app and select an interface, either the SPARKlink Air (for iPads and Android tablets without USB inputs) or the SPARKlink (for Android tablets with USB inputs)
